Visual/Interaction Designer

In a cozy apartment in San Francisco...

I’m Graphic Designer and Musician born and raised in Mexico City. I studied at Universidad Iberoamericana with a focus on packaging.

2001 - I started my career in at CMD Associates, a boutique design and advertising firm. During my time there, I worked on print, advertising, interactive media, and web design for global brands such as Domino's Pizza, José Cuervo Tequila, and Visa.

2002 - I joined ING Mexico where I developed print and interactive materials for all insurance products and internal communications, including the company's iIntranet. This position gave me the opportunity to explore the potentials of a single brand.

2004 - Launched Biovo, serving as Creative Director and Project Manager for a wide range of clients, including photographers, designers, and programmers. From ING México and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, to local non-profits and NGOs like Infancia Común and CEDAT. Biovo broadened my experience by working across different disciplines of design.

2007 - I moved to San Francisco and joined Native Instinct as a Visual Designer. Our team worked with clients such as Visa, Wells Fargo, Flip Cameras, and Salesforce. I was responsible for providing visual concepts, designs, flash animations, and sound design for websites and interactive products.

2012 - I joined Skype as a Visual designer. I helped to integrate Skype with various Microsoft products, such as Outlook.com and Office 365. Since 2015, I have been in charge of visual design for Skype’s Android app. I had the opportunity to contribute to Skype’s redesign following Material Design guidelines.

2016 - I joined Nutanix as a Sr Visual designer. I have been working as a lead visual designer in several products including the integration of 3rd party apps that Nutanix aquire. SinceIn 2018, I have been in charge of visual design for Prism which is one of the main products of the Nutanix portfolio. It has been a great opportunity working with such a talented team of designers.

Over the years I have enjoyed and learned so much from the different teams I had the oportunity be part of, I think with collaboration, we can make incredible products for our users.

When not designing, I am an active musician with 9 albums and can be found performing in small venues throughout the Bay Area, with occasional performances in Mexico City.
