Skype Group video call
Group video call has been an essential part of Skype, this feature was added to the android clients after material design was implemented. This included Mobile and Tablet.
Role
- Lead visual an interaction designer in charge of collaborating with other designers from different PMs, platforms and developers.
Challenges
- As this implementation was happening in both Android and IOS, we had to make sure, we provided a similar experience in both Android and IOS, but also felt natural for their platforms.
Results
- The implementation brought a familiar experience for our users. It was an intuitive experience and people could enjoy talking to an extended group of friends.
- Some of the basic functionality was handled by the native android interaction, while how contacts where managed in our own Skype experience and was consistent with IOS.
