Skype for Business web app
Skype for Business is the evolution of a Microsoft product called Lync, It was added to the Skype portfolio, bringing the powerful enterprise features in front of the Skype users.
Role
- Lead visual an interaction designer in charge of collaborating with other designers from different PMs, platforms and developers.
Challenges
- This implementation went along with the desktop, we had to make sure that is was the right balance between Skype and the original product to avoid alienate current users, but they could enjoy the benefits of a modern and simpler UI experience.
Results
- The product was a success, users were really happy about this change. The product felt more natural and easier to use. The Skype brand carried a lot of weight on it´s own, combined with a modern product the user experience was elevated. It felt like a Skype product without compromising all the enterprise features.
